Pinellas Sheriff's Beach Capacity Dashboard Resumes Saturday
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office's Beach Capacity Dashboard will relaunch this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17, at 9 a.m.
PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office's Beach Capacity Dashboard will relaunch this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17, at 9 a.m.
The dashboard is a tool that provides updates every hour on the capacity of beaches, beach parking lots and bridges. It allows beach goers to look up areas of beaches and parking that are open, reaching capacity or closed before they arrive at their destination.
The dashboard had more than 166,000 views from the time that it was launched through last Sunday.

Last weekend, several Pinellas County beaches reached capacity and were closed by order of the sheriff's office including Madeira Beach, Dunedin Causeway Beach, Honeymoon Island, Fred Howard Park Beach, Sunset Beach, Treasure Island and Fort DeSoto Park Beach.

The sheriff's office will also be posting status updates throughout the weekend on Twitter.

For Memorial Day weekend, the dashboard will be active starting Friday, May 22, at 1 p.m. through Memorial Day.
While this webpage is not active during the week, deputies continue to patrol the beaches. Any new information or beach closures will be provided on Twitter.
