Tampa Bay Innovation Center Announces B2B Accelerator Showcase

The virtual event will be held April 28.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Tampa Bay Innovation Center, a business incubator and coworking entrepreneurial center, will hold an Innovation Showcase for its third Accelerator cohort. The virtual event will be held on Wednesday, April 28 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

The Pinellas County-based accelerator program is mentor-driven and founder-focused.

“One of the goals of this program is to challenge the founders’ understanding of a market that they thought they already understood.” said Ken Evans, managing director. “User research and market validation is a never-ending series of experiments, and successful founders pursue this with a passion.”

The guest panelists for the event include: Joy Randels, founder and CEO, New Market Partners; Mark Swanson, managing director, Lane Five Ventures; and Travis Milks, managing partner, Topmark Partners.

Code 1 Medical Devices (St. Petersburg) – a new and innovative medical airway device for upper endoscopy procedures.

Cope Notes (Tampa) – a service for encouraging mindfulness and well-being through daily text messages.

Neuron Education (Boston) – an online marketplace delivering peace of mind for busy parents by connecting them with experienced tutors and virtual caregivers.

RB Technologies (Tampa) – supply chain software for the nutritional supplements and food industries that delivers greater quality control and transparency by leveraging blockchain technology to track ingredients and manufacturing processes.

Early program supporters and community partners include Pinellas County, the city of St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership.

Previous cohorts each consisted of seven early-stage founders. The first cohort graduation and showcase demo took place at the Birchwood on Jan. 14, 2020, followed by a Pitch Event at Synapse on Feb. 11, 2020.
