What Clearwater Eatery Deserves a National Spotlight?

Hernando Beach’s R Beach restaurant is getting a lot of attention these days courtesy of Emeril Lagasse.

The celebrity chef recently paid a visit to the eatery to film a segment for his show, “Emeril’s Florida,” according to TBO.com. Although the segment won’t air until December or January, R Beach is getting a lot of buzz courtesy of the celebrity visit.

Aired via the Cooking Channel, “Emeril’s Florida” puts a spotlight on the Sunshine State’s best food, its website says.

Lagasse is no stranger to Clearwater either.

He has hung out with Chef Steve Jordan who heads the kitchen at Caretta on the Gulf at the Sandpearl Resort and Chef Chris Ponte from Cafe Ponte for segments on the show in the past.
