2 People, 2 Dogs, 1 Cat Rescued After Boat Runs Aground
Although one cat died, rescuers were able to save two people and three pets after their boat ran aground near Honeymoon Island.
DUNEDIN, FL — Two people along with two dogs and a cat were rescued Monday after their boat ran aground in Hurricane Pass near Honeymoon Island.
Around 2 p.m., Dunedin Fire Rescue along with units from Palm Harbor, the U.S. Coast Guard and Sunstar Paramedics responded to a call about a 45-foot cruiser that had run aground and was taking on water.
Fire crews were reach the boat in high-wave conditions and rescue two adults, two dogs and one cat, however, one cat died despite attempts to revive the pet.
