Achieva Credit Union has been listed among the Tampa Bay Times’ annual “Top Workplaces” for the ninth year in a row, recognized alongside many of the area’s most-respected hotels, banks, law firms, resorts, sports teams and charitable organizations.

To celebrate, Achieva is donating $30,000 to charities in the communities they serve, with each department and branch team selecting a community non-profit to donate $750 to. During the month of April, the Achieva Foundation is doubling the impact by matching any additional donation made by the public on their website or in branch locations.

“It’s always an honor to be ranked as one of the Tampa Bay area’s best places to work, but to do so for the challenging year of 2020 is especially meaningful,” said Achieva Chief Executive Officer Gary Regoli. “Last year brought tremendous change to how our employees worked, and it was very gratifying to see how they responded.”

Achieva maintained its employee-friendly culture in 2020, even though many team members were working remotely. Company and safety updates were shared regularly, with departments hosting daily virtual check-ins and one-on-one calls. Executive leadership also arranged surprise visits to in-branch employees and hosted a holiday drive-through for employees to pick up their Pay It Forward funds – a favorite annual program where employees receive cash to donate to their community organization of choice.

“Our executive leadership and management know how crucial it is that employees feel supported as well as safe,” said Jeff Blake, Chief People Officer at Achieva. “At the end of the day, we want our employees to know that Achieva cares.”

The Tampa Bay Times’ Top Workplaces rankings are determined by a third-party survey of employees, who rate their workplace culture. Employers can be public, private, non-profit, or governmental, and must have at least 50 employees based in the Tampa Bay area.
