They were told the people who had committed the assault had just left the causeway in a Ford F-150 pickup truck. Deputies quickly located and pulled over the truck driven by Javier Solis, 41, with Lynette Kist, 48, in the passenger seat. Both live at the same address on Indigo Drive in Clearwater.
Upon investigating what occurred, deputies learned that Solis and Kist were parked on the southwest causeway beach next to Rouleau and his stepson. Solis then went to his truck and retrieved a knife. He tried pulling Kist out of the way, accidentally cutting her with the knife.
