Here are the top three stories in Dunedin today:

  1. Six different breweries from the Tampa Bay area took home medals at the 2022 U.S. Open Beer Championships including Dunedin's very own Cueni Brewing Co.! The U.S. Open Beer Championships is one of the country's largest brewing competitions that takes place in Ohio each year. Other local breweries that took home medals include Cigar City Brewing, Florida Avenue Brewing Co., de Bine Brewing, Motorworks Brewing, and Brew Hub. Dunedin?s Cueni Brewing won a bronze medal for their Sinister Imperial Stout in the American imperial stout category. (That's So Tampa)
  2. The City of Dunedin is hiring fitness and group exercise instructors! Applicants should have the energy, experience, and qualifications to teach group exercise classes. Instructors will work part-time, flexible hours at the Dunedin Community Center. Classes may include high-intensity interval training, cardio and conditioning, indoor cycling, muscle toning, pilates, strength training, and more. A certification from a national organization such as ACSM, ACE, CSCS, NSCA, or NASM is required. Learn more about the position and how to apply at the link. (Dunedin Patch)
  3. Tiffany and Bob Potter, owners of Local Tiki Rides, were recently featured in an article in Voyage Tampa. The couple, originally from Pataskala, Ohio, talks about how they took over the company during the Covid pandemic, and how smaller crowds helped ease them into the business. "We imagined it to be another way to expand on our passion for tiki, and a great way just to get to know people in the area. My husband and I weren?t really looking for a business to run since he has a full-time job and I was running an Etsy and eBay shop, but we knew we would regret it if we didn?t give it a shot."
