Detours Scheduled In Central Pinellas For RR Crossing Maintenance

CSX Transportation will perform maintenance at multiple railroad crossings in central Pinellas County starting later this month, and that will require temporary road closures with detours.

Three of the repairs are at crossings within unincorporated Pinellas County, and each will take about 24 hours if there are no unexpected delays.

• On Monday, July 20, at 8:30 a.m., work will begin on the crossings at 46th Avenue North just west of 37th Street North, and on 35th Street North just north of 42nd Avenue North. Traffic will be detoured as shown on the map. CSX expects to reopen the road by 8 a.m. the following morning.
• On Tuesday, July 21, at 8:30 a.m., work will begin on the crossings at 58th Avenue North just west of 46th Way North. Traffic will be detoured as shown on the map. CXS expects to reopen the road by 8 a.m. the following morning.

Additional CSX railroad crossing maintenance will take place within the cities of Pinellas Park and Clearwater. Pinellas County’s Traffic Engineering division has notified emergency services agencies of the detours.
