Dunedin Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Young Girl

DUNEDIN, FL —A 52-year-old Dunedin man has been charged with sexual battery of a child under the age of 12 after being accused of assaulting the child at his home.

The crime occurred in 2015 at Michael Doyle's home in the 1600 block of Amberlea Drive/

According to detectives, the child had been sleeping at Doyle's Dunedin home in 2015 when she awoke to find Doyle sexually battering her. She disclosed the assault in 2017.

After investigating the accusation, detectives obtained probable cause to arrest Doyle and took him into custody on Tuesday. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail and charged with two counts of sexual battery of a child less than 12 years old.
