Dunedin Man Sustains Facial Injuries After Falling Off Golf Cart
The sheriff's office said a Dunedin man was impaired when he fell off his golf cart, resulting in serious injuries.

DUNEDIN, FL — A 31-year-old man is recovering from serious injuries following a golf cart accident during the early-morning hours Saturday.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred at 3:47 a.m. Dec. 14 at 1809 Douglas Ave., just north of Mira Vista Drive in Dunedin.
According to investigators, Robert Paulton of Douglas Avenue was driving his golf cart with 29-year-old passenger, Thomas Felkins of Palm Harbor, east on Mira Vista Drive and turned north onto Douglas Avenue. After completing the turn, Paulton drove about 30 yards on Douglas Avenue before falling out of the golf cart as it was moving. Paulton landed in the road.

Felkins immediately grabbed the steering wheel and stopped the golf cart after Paulton fell off. Paulton was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with serious injuries to his face.
