Dunedin Offers Summer Volunteer Opportunities for Teens
Program seeking 13- to 16-year-olds to volunteer during summer camp weeks.

DUNEDIN, FL – The City of Dunedin is looking for volunteers for its 2016 Summer Teen Leadership Program for teens ages 13 (as of January 1, 2016) through 16 (as of August 1, 2016).
The program is designed for teenagers to gain a sense of pride and ownership through volunteering and preparing them for a future role in the workforce.
The commitment will be to attend training sessions and complete six weeks with the Dunedin Parks & Recreation Department during the summer camp weeks of June 13 through Aug. 5. To apply for the program, the following must be turned in:

- Program application (located online or at the Dunedin Community Center)
- Essay on back of application
- Local Criminal Records Check with stamp of approval from Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department (instructions on how to obtain this are on the program application)
- A reference letter from a non-relative
Applications and attachments must be dropped off at the Dunedin Community Center, 1920 Pinehurst Road, by April 15. Applicants are asked to schedule an interview when bringing in their application.
