Off-Duty Largo Firefighter Seriously Injured While Jogging
An off-duty Largo firefighter-paramedic sustained serious injuries when he was struck by an SUV while jogging.

DUNEDIN, FL -- An off-duty Largo firefighter-paramedic sustained serious injuries when he was struck by an SUV while jogging.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Brian Anderson, 47, of Dunedin was jogging along Belcher Road near the intersection of Winchester Drive in Dunedin at 11:33 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19.
Deputies say Anderson attempted to cross Belcher Road from east to west and was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Benjamin Hofrichter, 53, of Bardsdale Drive, Palm Harbor.

Paramedics transported Anderson via Bayflight to the hospital with serious injuries. Deputies say Anderson was not using a designated crosswalk when he was struck.
