Groundbreaking For New Dunedin City Hall Set For May 11
The ceremony begins at 10 a.m.

DUNEDIN, FL — The Dunedin City Commision invited residents to a groundbreaking ceremony for the new City Hall at 737 Milwaukee Ave. on May 11 at 10 a.m.
The new City Hall will be a community facility with public spaces and access to governance in the commission chambers. The main lobby will offer a one-stop customer service area providing residents convenient access to frequently requested services.
Public art components are featured in the design. The building features multi-use adaptable floor space, energy efficiencies including solar power, a standby emergency generator and four electric vehicle charging stations - all consistent with the city's EPIC! Goal of environmental sustainability.

The last municipal services building was built in 1966. This building will have an estimated lifespan of 75 to 100 years.

- The new 38,463-square-foot City Hall will include programming space and will be comprised of a two-story administrative wing and a single-story commission chamber.
- Project cost: $22,809 million, budgeted in the city of Dunedin Capital Improvements Program (CIP) budget via various funding sources, including the Penny Fund.
- Parking –a new parking lot will be constructed across the street from the new building, as well as adjacent on street parking around the entire complex.
- Timeline: Groundbreaking May 11 with completion in 2022.
