Here's Where You Can Get Food For Your Child In Pinellas County

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — It's difficult enough being stuck at home during the mandated stay-at-home orders without also going hungry. To ensure that children age 18 and under have the nutritional food they need during the coronavirus pandemic, Feeding Tampa Bay is hosting Breakspot Meal Sites.

Sites serve daily Monday through Friday (unless otherwise noted) in a drive-thru model for safety. Sites only open once a week will provide five takeaway meals on the day they serve.
Parents whose children are unable to attend will be accommodated to pick up meals for their children.

Note: Meals are peanut and tree nut free, though those items are processed elsewhere in the facility.

• Pinellas Pal, 3755 46th Ave. N., St. Petersburg from noon to 1 p.m.
• Largo Medical Center, 1551 W. Bay Drive, Largo, from noon to 1 p.m.
• Oldsmar State Street Center, 127 State St. W., Oldsmar, from noon to 1 p.m.
• Foundation for a Healthy St. Pete, 2333 34th St. S., St. Petersburg, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
• Ridgecrest YMCA, 1801 119th St. N., Largo, from 2 to 3 p.m.
• Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center, 1003 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N., Safety Harbor from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• SPPF M.A.S.T.R. Kids at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3300 31st St. S., St. Petersburg, from noon to 1 p.m.

• Pinellas Sheriff’s PAL at the Landing, 6835 54th Ave. N., Building F, St. Petersburg, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
• North Greenwood Recreation Complex, 900 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Clearwater, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
• Ross Norton Recreation Complex, 1426 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Clearwater, Monday, Wednesday ad Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
• Cops’N Kids, 555 E. Harrison St., Tarpon Springs, Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m.
• Hispanic Outreach Center, 612 Franklin St., Clearwater, Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m.

In addition, Pinellas County Schools is distributing meals at 22 sites on Wednesdays from 10:30 to 12:30.

Lunch and breakfast will be packed together. The child must be present to receive meals. Meals will be served as drive-thru at the the bus circle and for walkers near the main entrance of the school.

Meals for six days are available. Families will receive a combination of hot and cold breakfast items and hot lunch entrees with easy heating instructions. Parents are asked to pop open their trunks at the sites for safe food delivery. Families who walk to the site can bring a bag or large box.
