Hog Hustle 5K 2016 Returns With 1-Mile Walk Added

Dunedin's signature distance race follows a scenic route around town.

DUNEDIN, FL – Once again, area runners will look to bring home the bacon during the 2016 Hog Hustle 5K and 1-Mile Fun Walk.

The event takes place on Saturday, May 7 at 8 a.m. and kicks off and ends at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, 373 Douglas Ave. in Dunedin. The course follows a scenic route along Edgewater Drive and through the historic downtown Dunedin area. This is the first time the event will feature the 1-Mile Fun Walk.

Entry includes a pancake breakfast, plus chip timing and awards for the top male and female in various categories for the 5K participants. The first 500 runners registered will receive a Dry Fit T-shirt.

Tickets are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1-Mile Fun Walk. Early packet pick-up is Thursday, May 5 from 7 to 8 a.m. at the Dunedin Community Center, 1920 Pinehurst Road. Race-day packet pickup begins at 7 a.m. at the stadium.
