How Will New Rezoning on Dunedin's Corridors Affect You?

City officials are hosting a series of meetings, with refreshments, for interested or effected residents at the Dunedin Community Center between Aug. 27 and 29.

Patricia and Douglas avenues, Dunedin Causeway and State Road 580 are all being rezoned in a way that may ease future development.

The changes should provide specifics on the architectural style and size of future buildings and frees up some of the restrictions on what types of businesses can use them.

To explain the changes, city officials are hosting a series of meetings, with refreshments, for interested or affected residents at the Dunedin Community Center between Aug. 27 and 29.

According to the city, the meetings are as follows:
Tuesday, Aug. 27:

  • Noon to 1:30 p.m.: Patricia Ave, Douglas Ave, The Causeway
  • 6 to 7:30 p.m.: Patricia Ave, Douglas Ave, The Causeway
Wednesday, Aug. 28
  • Noon to 1:30 p.m.: Entire 580 Corridor
  • 6 to 7:30 p.m.: Entire 580 Corridor
Thursday, Aug. 29
  • Noon to 1:30 p.m.: Properties outside these corridors
  • 6 to 7:30 p.m.: Properties outside these corridors
All meetings are scheduled to take place in the Elliot Room at the Dunedin Community Center, 1920 Pinehurst Rd. Should you be unable to attend a meeting for your area, the city invites you to attend another meeting, but asks that you RSVP at 727-298-2755.
