Dunedin Announces Closures Due To Tropical Storm Elsa
City facilities and parks and rec programs will close at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
DUNEDIN, FL — On Tuesday, the Dunedin City Commission declared the city under a state of local emergency due to Tropical Storm Elsa and its potential threat to residents and property in the city.
The city of Dunedin is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Elsa. Residents are being advised to start taking necessary steps for their safety during the storm.

There was an emergency Dunedin City Commission meeting Tuesday at 9 a.m., at City Hall Commission Chambers, 542 Main Street, Dunedin. The meeting is on video available here and on Facebook.
- City Hall and city facilities, including the library, will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
- All city committee meetings scheduled for Tuesday after 3 p.m. are canceled and will be rescheduled.
- Solid waste and recycling will resume its normal schedule for Tuesday. The city will determine Wednesday's pick-up later.
- All parks and recreation facilities will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
- All camp participants will need to be picked up no later than 3 p.m.
- All programs after 3 p.m. on Tuesday are canceled, including the 2 to 5 p.m. and open swim at Highlander Pool and swim lessons.
- Camp and program participants will be notified on Tuesday if Wednesday programs will be affected.
