DUNEDIN, FL — A motorcyclist remains hospitalized in serious condition following a crash Sunday on Main Street.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, around 3:24 p.m., Jeffrey Arbital, 66, was riding his 2005 Yamaha V Star 1100 east on Main Street approaching Virginia Street.
Witnesses told investigators another motorist, who was also traveling east on Main Street, stopped suddenly. Investigators say Arbital applied the rear brake on his motorcycle, causing the back end to swing out in a counter-clockwise direction. As the motorcycle fell on its side and slid, Arbital was ejected in front of 1617 Main St. He was wearing a helmet.

Impairment and speed were not factors in the crash.
