Rapid Antigen Tests Temporarily Suspended In Pinellas County

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — The state of Florida has instructed Pinellas County to briefly suspend rapid antigen testing effective immediately. The testing suspension is due to the state canceling its contract with rapid test reporting company bioIQ.

Pinellas County will still provie PCR tests at current testing sites.

A new rapid test reporting vendor has already been selected and the suspension should only be for a short time to allow the new vendor to take over operations.

Pinellas County will notify the public as soon as possible when rapid antigen testing resumes.
