Sounds Of Bluegrass To Permeate Honeymoon Island During Festival
Hosted by the Friends of the Island Parks, the festival will take place at Honeymoon Island State Park, 1 Causeway Blvd., Dunedin.
DUNEDIN – The twang of banjos in concert with the harmonious sounds of fiddles will lure hundreds of bluegrass music fans to the second annual Honeymoon Island Bluegrass Festival Saturday, Dec. 1, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Hosted by the Friends of the Island Parks, the festival will take place at Honeymoon Island State Park, 1 Causeway Blvd., Dunedin.
Set against the background of the scenic island, the festival will take place at the north end of the picnic area and will feature six hours of continuous music by some of the area's top bluegrass artists.

This year's headliner entertainer is the Lonesome River Band.
With an iconic driving bluegrass sound that has kept the band at the forefront of the genre, the Lonesome River Band continues to grow a fan base. 35-plus years as performers and recording artists.

Also performing will be Beaumont, Dreamcatcher and Rekindled Grass.
Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. There will be display tables and a children's activities area. Local vendors will offer food and beverages.
Park admission is $8 per car for eight, $4 for single drivers and $2 for bicycles. Music tickets are $10 each. Children age 11 and younger are free. The event is dog friendly. Tickets will be available at the gate or in advance by clicking here.
The festival supports Honeymoon and Caladesi state parks and programs.
