Happy Mother's Day. Enjoy our Mother's Day photo submissions from our Tampa Bay Patch readers.

TAMPA BAY, FL -- Author of the “The Nightingale” and “Golden Heart,” Kristin Hannah, speaks for every mother and daughter when she describes their unique relationship.

“My mother is the bones of my spine, keeping me straight and true. She is my blood, making sure it runs rich and strong. She is the beating of my heart. I cannot now imagine a life without her.”

That bond was evident in the response we received from readers to our call-out for mother-daughter lookalike photos for Mother’s Day. And the comments were as poignant as those of any best-selling author.

“After raising two rambunctious boys, the Lord gifted us with my mini-me,” said New Tampa resident Mary Dunlap of her daughter, Alyssa. “Alyssa is as beautiful inside as outside. She is the upgraded 2.0 version of her mother; the heart of our family; the most important thing I will do in my life; being a mom.”

“Everywhere we go, people comment how much we resemble each other,” said Dunedin resident Kristi Jenkins of she and her daughter, Kelsie. “She is my little clone. We are both book worms, we love country music and we love going to concerts together. “

“We’re always told how similar we look to each other,” said Denise Whitty of Tarpon Springs about her daughter, Kayla. “I am so proud of my daughter but, more importantly I am grateful. She has given me the best gift: motherhood.”

“Everyone says my daughter, Mary, age 14, is my mini-me,” said Erin , who divide their time between Palm Harbor and Wenham, Mass., and are Patch readers in both towns.

"I see so much of me in her and she is my whole world," said Debra Dobbs of Wesley Chapel of daughter, Marie. "I am blessed to be her mom."

"My blessing in life. Almost lost you twice before and during birth. You have been my angel from the day you were born," said Terri Tausinger of Clearwater of daughter, Haley. "Everyone from my high school days say we are twins. You look just like I did in high school. I don't know about that but I do know your attitude is your mom's. You have made me so proud to be able to be called your mom."

"This is my mom. We very much look like," said Stacey Peacock of Plant City about her mom, Deanna. "There are times people think we are sisters. My mom always put her children and grandchildren before her. She will stop whatever she is doing and come to our rescue if we need her. She is very wise mom. I love her to death."
