That's One Pumped-Up Pumpkin: Recording-Breaking Gourd On Display

DUNEDIN, FL — It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. And it's on display in Dunedin.

The 2019 Grand Champion from the annual Circleville, Ohio, Pumpkin Festival Oct. 21-24 made its way to Dunedin on Wednesday and is now on display through Halloween at the home of Dan and Shonda Liggett, 1532 Santa Clara Drive.

The gigantic gourd was grown and harvested by the Liggetts' relatives, Bob and Jo Liggett of Circleville.

It's been four years since the Liggetts displays a grand champion pumpkin from the festival in Dunedin. And this year's winner is definitely a whopper, weighing in at 1,421 pounds. The Liggetts received a $1,000 check for their winning entry.

The second largest pumpkin was grown by another Liggett. Bella Liggett's pumpkin weighted 1,130.5 pounds.
