Here are the top 3 stories today in Dunedin:

  1. Dunedin Parks & Recreation is looking for teen and adult volunteers to help with the annual Old Fashioned Christmas event on Dec. 10 between 4 and 9:30 p.m. Volunteers will assist with the craft tables, games, train ride, s'mores station, carriage ride, and snow slide. Two lucky volunteers will lend Santa a hand as his elves! This experience is a great way to volunteer with friends and family or fulfill volunteer service hours. Those interested in volunteering can call Franchesca Molinary at 727-812-4530 or email fmolinary@dunedinfl.net. (Dunedin Gov)
  2. Does your toddler enjoy learning about different animals? Sign them up for Little Explorers Preschool Power Hour today, Dec. 6, at the Dunedin Public Library between 11 a.m. and noon! This monthly educational program for kids between three and five years old covers different topics during each workshop, with this month's topic being Winter Animals. Kids will learn about how different animals experience winter while making new friends. Register them online now, or if you can't make it this month, plan ahead for their future workshops. (Dunedin Library)
  3. Suncoast Brotherhood's 42nd Annual Toy Run is scheduled for Dec. 18 at noon! Pinellas County's longest-running and safest toy run will kick things off at the American Legion Post 275 on Wilson Street. From there, the route takes participants to Curlew Road, Belcher Road, and around Downtown Dunedin! Check out this map of the route to be sure you catch a glimpse of everyone on their bikes. Those interested in participating should expect to pay a $5 registration fee and should bring an unwrapped toy or gift card to benefit the Pinellas County Foster and Adoptive Parent Association. A party will be held after the toy run at the American Legion with raffles, vendors, and a live auction. (Suncoast Brotherhood)
