Many of you are familiar with All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. Many are also familiar with the 40 minute drive to get there to receive treatment for a sick or injured child. What many of you might not know is that there is an extension of the hospital right here in our community!

The All Children's Hospital Outpatient Care East Lake is located at 3850 Tampa Road in Palm Harbor. It is in the Cornerstone medical plaza where Tampa Road meets McMullen Booth Road. It offers specialized pediatric services, including radiology services. This center has been in the area for fifteen years (previously known as All Children's Therapy Center of East Lake), providing pediatric occupational, physical and speech therapy for infants, children and teens.

In April 2012, they expanded their offerings to include digital x-ray and ultrasound as well as numerous physician clinics. Why travel all the way to St. Petersburg when you have All Children's expertise and family friendly services right in your community?

Their radiology room is equipped with a new wireless digital radiography system. This high-speed system is capable of transmitting images that can be previewed in approximately 3 seconds, or just 5 seconds for high-resolution images.

Their ultrasound suite has new state-of-the-art XMATRIX PureWave Technology that yields detailed ultrasound images in less time - a benefit for patients and parents.

Highly qualified radiology staff has the expertise needed to work with children of all ages. All of the members of the All Children's East Lake team are committed to excellence and family-centered care. To schedule an appointment for x-ray, please call (727) 786-5482. Few folks are aware that a group exists which supports the Outpatient Center. The All Children's Hospital Guild North Pinellas Branch is a volunteer organization whose mission is to advocate, volunteer, and fundraise for the children and families of All Children's Hospital. We organize small and large events to support the hospital and all areas of this Outpatient Center that is such an asset to our community.

With that said, we try to organize a luncheon each month for these extraordinary caregivers to thank them for their efforts on behalf of our children. In December, BJ's of Westfield Countryside Mall donated several pizzas to feed these wonderful folks.
