When I left the Supervisor of Elections office today, I realized how much time had passed since I first announced my candidacy to serve our families and businesses as an East Lake Fire Commissioner.
The election is only 5 months away!
Someone asked me last week, "Why do you want to become a politician when you've never done anything like that before?" My reply was, "I don't want to be a politician; I'm a servant."
There will be several qualified and worthy candidates who will enter the race to be elected as your Fire Commissioner. I admire anyone who wants to undertake that challenge and responsibility.
All I can ask you to do is visit my website at www.mcqueen4commisisoner.com and review my qualifications, platform, and endorsements. And then, I pray that you will make an informed choice to vote for me in November.
Between now and then, I hope you will contact me and share your ideas on what we can to to enrich the quality of service that East Lake Fire Rescue provides to you and our community.
And if there is anything I can do to serve your needs now or in the future, I hope you will write me at the following email address: letterstoethan@aol.com.
I love our community in East Lake and I want to serve you as your Fire Commissioner.
Tom McQueen
