East Lake Fire Commissioner Flo Galloway Moving Back to Ohio

East Lake Fire Commissioner, Flo Galloway will be moving back to her home state of Ohio to be closer to family members. 

"It's time that I return to Ohio," said Galloway, whose son lives in Ohio.   

"I like everything about East Lake, but I can't be in two places at once… I'm going to miss East Lake a great deal because of the community."

Galloway has not said when she will be leaving, however she will vacate her seat on the East Lake Tarpon Special Fire Control District. She was elected to Seat 4 in 2010 and her term ends in November of 2014.

East Lake Tarpon Special Fire Control District plans on appointing someone to fill Seat 4 for the remainder of Galloway's term. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on June 24, 2013. (Details are here.)

Galloway is the widow of former longtime board member Jim Galloway, who served as a fire commissioner from 1998 until his death from lung cancer in 2005.
