East Lake Fire Commissioners Pick Randy Burr To Fill Vacant Seat

East Lake Fire Commissioners selected candidate Randy Burr Tuesday evening to fill the seat on the board that was vacated by Flo Galloway. Burr is a High-Risk Team Leader at Fireman's Insurance and has volunteered with East Lake Fire Rescue.

Galloway recently moved to Ohio to be with her family.

Commissioners ranked the five finalists and the totals were tabulated during Tuesday night's meeting.

Burr was sworn in shortly after he was announced as the commissioner's choice. He then took his seat on the board and participated in the meeting with the other commissioners.

The finalists also included Wayne Ferguson, John Hall, Michael Peasley and Lauralee Westine.

13 East Lake residents applied for the position.
