East Lake High Students Win History Project Award
The students are Taylor Shelby and Abbigail Hines.

Two East Lake High School students have been recognized for their history project.
The students Taylor Shelby and Abbigail Hines won third place in the Senior Group Exhibit category for Through the Lens of Time in the Florida History Fair State Contest. The duo then traveled to the University of Maryland College Park in June where they participated in the national competition. Students nearby in Palm Harbor also attended the national competition. They include:
-  Rylee Gorman and Austin Staubs, from Palm Harbor Middle School, who won first place locally in the Junior Group Website category for Credit Cards.
- • Mia Radovanovic, from Palm Harbor University High School, who won second place in the Senior Individual Exhibit for Margaret Sanger: A Birth in Women’s Control.
