Flo Galloway Leaving East Lake Fire Rescue Commission

The East Lake Tarpon Special Fire Control District announced it is accepting applications for Board of Commission Seat 4, which is currently occupied by Flo Galloway.

The board plans on appointing some to fill Seat 4 for the remainder of Galloway's term which ends in November of 2014. 

Details about Galloway's departure have not been released. Flo Galloway is the widow of former longtime board member Jim Galloway, who served as a fire commissioner from 1998 until his death from lung cancer in 2005. 

Flo Galloway filled her late husband's seat on the board from 2005 to 2008. She was elected to her current position on Seat 4 in 2010.

If you are a resident of the fire district and would like to apply for Seat 4. Send letters of interest, resumes and an essay as to why you think you should be selected for the position of fire commissioner. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on June 24, 2013.
