Florida Holiday Angels Pay Off $12K in Layaways for Strangers
The random act of kindness was orchestrated by an Oldsmar chemical company.

Christmas arrived before Thanksgiving this year for 55 families in the Oldsmar area courtesy of one man’s vision to give back in a big way by paying off $12,000 in layaway balances owed by others at the local Walmart.
John Sanders of Jamson Labs & Power Kleen Corporation was the man behind the plan, according to Fox News. Sanders wanted to give back to the community where he lives and where his business is located, the station explained.
“Our theory was if people had it on layaway, they were maybe struggling a little bit for the holidays,” Sanders was quoted by the station as saying.

Sanders’ grandchildren inspired the idea courtesy of their practice of giving away their allowances to needy families each year. Now, Sanders hopes the gift from Jamson Labs will inspire other local companies to follow suit.
Jamson Labs is an Oldsmar-based chemical company that was founded by Sanders in 1973. It’s considered one of the country’s largest, privately held industrial chemical manufacturing firms today, according to its website.
