Man Accused Of Performing Sex Acts With Dog Faces More Charges

OLDSMAR, FL -- A 21-year-old Oldsmar man arrested after detectives say he filmed himself performing sex acts with his dog is now facing additional criminal charges.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children Unit said Christian Stewart Oscar Nichols of Fairwood Court is facing 10 more related charges after detectives found numerous videos in Nichols' bedroom.

Detectives say the videos depict unidentified people engaged in sex acts with dogs. The additional charges are for Prohibition of Certain Acts in Connection with Obscene Materials.

Detectives didn't elaborate on how many other people and dogs were involved.

Detectives originally arrested Nichols on Monday, Feb. 11 and charged him with aggravated animal cruelty after someone from out of state contacted Pinellas County Animal Services after finding a video on the Internet showing Nichols performing sex acts with his Siberian husky, Ember (see related story).

Detectives obtained copies of the video and photographs of a man dressed in a black and white husky dog costume using his penis and multiple penis-shaped sex toys to have inappropriate sexual contact with a Siberian husky.

Detectives say the dog in the video was clearly in distress. At one point during the video, the dog tried to run away and the man responded by striking the dog with a sex toy.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives tracked the video and photographs to Nichols who admitted to detectives he made the video with his Siberian husky, Ember, and shared it on the Internet.

Pinellas County Animal Services responded to the home and removed Ember and a second dog from Nichols' residence.

Nichols remains in the Pinellas County Jail.
