Nearly Starved To Death Pit Bull Needs Help
A local non-profit recently took in the nearly starved dog and is seeking support from the community.
William, a two-year-old pit bull, was found close to death by Rugaz Rescue workers.
The rescue non-profit group said William weighs less than one-half of what he should. He faces numerous health issues, but workers said, "William has not given up."
William and the folks at Rugaz Rescue have a long road of recovery ahead and are asking for help from the public.
In a news release the group wrote that it "relies solely on support from the community" and "is in need of donations to help provide William with much needed medical care."
Donations for William's care can be made directly to the Regency Park Animal Hospital at 727-848-6247, 7741 Congress Street, New Port Richey, FL 34653 or via paypal at the non profit's website,www.RugazRescue.com.
Rugaz Rescue rescues and adopts out hundreds of abandoned and neglected Bully Breed Dogs annually.Â
The community can help by volunteering, becoming a foster home or making a donation to help provide medical treatment for other neglected and abused pit bulls.
