New Assisted Living, Memory Care Community Underway to Meet Need in Fast-Growing Trinity
Sales office now open, residents to move in during first quarter
TRINITY, Fla. (Sept. 24, 2015) – Construction for The Watermark at Trinity, a sophisticated assisted living and memory care community, is underway in Trinity’s Foxwood Commerce Park. The community, which is set to open in the first quarter of 2016, will address the growing need for senior living in this fast-growing area.
According to an independent market study, there is only one assisted living community currently operating within a five-mile radius of The Watermark at Trinity. This facility is currently at 90 percent occupancy, creating an immediate need for senior living communities in this area.
In addition, local residential real estate experts project that an additional 9,000 to 12,000 new homes will be built in Trinity in the next two to three years, making this is one of the fastest-growing areas in Tampa Bay.

“As more and more families move to Trinity – including adult children with aging parents – the need for assisted living and memory care will continue to grow,” said Scott Salkill, director of renovation and design for Watermark Retirement Communities. “The Watermark at Trinity will provide an intimate and stylish community where these mothers, fathers and grandparents can live close to their families.”
The Watermark at Trinity recently opened its sales office at 10751 Maple Creek Drive, Suite 104, in Trinity.

The community will feature 117 apartments available for rent across many unique floor plans and sizes, with the first floor dedicated to memory care. On-site amenities will include lush gardens, walking paths, a movie theater, beauty salon and barbershop.
Unique to The Watermark at Trinity is Thrive Dining, which allows individuals with cognitive, neuromuscular and chewing disorders to eat the same nutritious meals as other residents, in small hand-held portions. The Watermark at Trinity will be the only assisted living and memory care community in the Tampa Bay area to offer this innovative dining program.
In addition, the community will offer unique educational programming for residents from both assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. Residents can attend and even teach classes that showcase their passions and engage their minds. And unlike traditional senior living models where care is divided between multiple memory care associates – called Nayas – spend the entire day with residents and are more likely to notice the early signs of concern that might otherwise go unnoticed.
“From our dining program to our updated interiors and a full calendar of events, we are breaking the mold and providing senior living that today’s seniors want and truly deserve,” said Jennifer Naster, sales director for The Watermark at Trinity.
The Watermark at Trinity is a part of Watermark Retirement Communities, The Freshwater Group and its development partner, BRW. The community was designed by Tampa-based Chancey Design Partnership and broke ground in January.
To complete construction, The Watermark at Trinity has hired roughly 100 local construction professionals. The community will also bring a number of new jobs to the area, with more than 50 full- and part-time positions to be created once the community is fully operational.
