Oldsmar Father, Son Arrested For Sexually Abusing Young Girls

Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies have arrested an Oldsmar father and son they believe sexually abused four young girls.

OLDSMAR, FL – Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested an Oldsmar father and son they believe sexually abused four young girls over a number of years.

Following a monthlong investigation, the Pinellas Sheriff’s Crimes Against Children Unit charged Joshua Alexander Pasco Sr., 43, and James Ivory Pasco Jr., 63, both of 250 Douglas Road West in Oldsmar, with multiple counts of sexual battery on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

Detectives began looking into the Pascos on Jan. 30 after a woman contacted the sheriff’s office to report she’d been sexually battered by both the father and son on separate occasions.

During their inquiry, detectives say they found three other young girls who were sexually abused by the two men.

Detectives believe Joshua Pasco had sexual contact with two young girls. They say he began sexually abusing one of them in the late 1990s when she was between 9 and 13 years old. The second girl was sexually abused in 2016. Detectives say she was a family member over which Joshua Pasco had authority.

According to detectives, James Pasco sexually abused three children and a woman beginning in the early 1970s when the three girls were between the ages of 5 and 13. The woman was sexually battered by James Pasco in 2017 and early this year.

Detectives say both father and son had familial or custodial authority over most of the victims when they were abused.

Joshua Pasco has been charged with two counts of sexual battery- familial authority and one count of lewd and lascivious battery.

James Pasco is facing three counts of sexual battery on a child under 12 years old, two counts of sexual battery-familial authority, two counts of sexual battery and one count of lewd and lascivious battery.

Both were transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.
