Palm Harbor Bank Robbery: Detectives Seek Help Finding Suspect
Look closely at the accompanying video. A surveillance camera recorded the suspect at 1:13 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013 as he robbed the BB&T Bank at 35098 U.S. 19. The bank is south of Alderman Road in Palm Harbor.
Patch readers helped identify a bank robbery suspect back in November, now the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help identifying the suspect in another local bank robbery.
Look closely at the accompanying video. A surveillance camera recorded the suspect Monday, May 6 as he robbed the BB&T Bank at 35098 U.S. 19, which is just south of Alderman Road in Palm Harbor.
Detectives say the suspect wore a motorcycle helmet when he walked into the bank at 1:13 p.m. He placed a black backpack on the counter and demanded the teller to fill it with money. The man lifted his shirt to display a black handgun in his waistband.

As the robber left the bank, detectives say he dropped a small aerosol can labeled "Warning-Chlorine," that he left behind.
After the robbery, the suspect drove away on a motorcycle. He traveled southbound on U.S. 19 and then turned westbound onto Nebraska Avenue, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives say before the robbery, the suspect was seen arriving in the area of the bank on the motorcycle.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office released this description of the suspect-
- White male
- Height: 5'10" to 6" Â
- Weight: 190 lbs.
- Clothing: Blue jeans, a light blue short-sleeved shirt worn over a long sleeved black shirt, a motorcycle helmet with the shield pulled down covering his entire head and face, and "Mechanix Wear Gloves"
