The three story, 4329-square-foot mansion is known as the "White House" by locals and was renovated by its current owner.

"The woodwork, the floors, the ceiling height, the moldings, the fireplaces, right down to the crystal knobs, it's just been kept in its culture," said the home's listing agent Judy Eaves of Re/Max Bay to Bay.

The home, which Eaves says is on the historical registry, was built by Canadian investor A.B. Coleman in 1925.  Coleman's development company purchased property in Palm Harbor and constructed sidewalks and streetlights in the area.

On the main level, you'll find the completely remodeled kitchen, which is bright and roomy with tall ceilings and lots of windows that provide natural light.  The main level also features a formal, banquet-sized dining room, a family room and study. The layout of the home would make it a breeze for entertaining.

The mansion has four bedrooms which are all on the second level; two bedrooms have fireplaces. The master suite is on the second level and is the epitome of southern elegance. It includes a dressing room and bathroom. The three other bedrooms are located on the second floor.

The third floor features a large, open and airy space with numerous windows on each end and two large Tiffany-style dome lights. The third floor also includes three smaller rooms in addition to the large space.

"It's just a very unique home. It's gonna take that special person who loves the history and loves the charm of old Palm Harbor, because that's what it brings," said Eaves.

"It is such a landmark. It's really going to be a privilege to pass on to the next buyer."

Would you like to see the mansion? Eaves will be holding an "Open House at the White House" on Sunday, April 28 from 12 to 4 p.m.
