Playing Dead At The Dog Park

We met some friendly Palm Harbor pooches at East Lake's John Chesnut Park. One had a cool trick to show us.

East Lake's John Chesnut Park is the perfect place to spend the dog days of summer, especially if you're a dog.

The park has an awesome shaded park just for dogs. It features separate fenced areas for small and large dogs and has great watering stations.

We met some friendly Palm Harbor pooches, one had a trick to show us.

"Oki" is a 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog who likes to play dead, especially if you're got a treat in your hand (see video).

"We're working on rolling over, but we're not quite there yet," said Oki's owner Tori Sweeney who was at the park with Eric Smith.

Oki became fast friends with another Palm Harbor pooch, "Misty", who is a happy, 1-year-old Lab Retriever.

Misty comes to the park with her owner Lori Rayder at least once a week.

"Usually there are a lot of people here at the end of the day," said Rayder.

Misty also knows a trick. She rolls over. However, she was more interested in playing with other dogs than performing silly tricks for humans during our visit to the park Thursday.
