Police: Man Puts Woman In Headlock After Argument Escalates

A 20-year-old man from Oldsmar was recently released after being arrested for false imprisonment on August 3.

According to an arrest affidavit, on his 20th birthday, Dejhan Dixon got into an argument with an unidentified female before becoming physical with her.

The argument "escalated" from verbal to physical, according to police.

Officers reported that Dixon and the female were arguing in his car. The female got out of the vehicle and according to the affidavit, "made it clear she wanted to leave." 

Dixon, who stands at 6 foot 3 and weighs 220 pounds, attempted to get the female back into his vehicle. Police say his failed attempt included physically moving her as well as putting her in a headlock.

Dixon was arrested on a felony charge of false imprisonment and was later released on his own recognizance.
