Pro Golfers, Athletes Compete in Pro-Am at Innisbrook Wednesday

With Tuesday’s practice rounds in the books, the Tampa Bay Championship presented by EverBank turns to Wednesday’s Pro-Am that begins at 7:45 a.m. when two former champions, Carl Pettersson (2005) and Luke Donald (2012) tee off with their amateur partners on the 1^st and 10^th tees respectively.

In addition to 50 of the top pros in the field, the Pro-Am features five notable athletes in other sports.  They are:

• Hall of Fame former Redskins cornerback Darrell Green at 9:45 with Vijay Sing
• Baseball Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt at 12:50 with Retief Goosen
• Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels at 1:00 with Jonas Blixt
• Former Lightning captain Dave Andreychuk at 1:50 with Erik Compton
• Buccaneers defensive back Ronde Barber on 10 at 2:20 with Charlie Beljan

Special guests of the tournament in the Pro-Am are Wounded Heroes Army Specialist Maury Collett, Marine Infantryman Alexander Kelly, and SSGT Michael Winters who go off the 10^th tee at 1:00 with pro Matt Every.  On Tuesday, the trio received a custom club fitting from Callaway Golf through Birdies for the Brave.
