An arrest affidavit says jealousy prompted Ramy Deon Ramirez Jr., 19, to go to the Five Guys restaurant with a crowbar on June 14, 2013.

2) Outgoing Fire Commissioner Honored, Selection Process Underway for Next Commissioner 

Flo Galloway, who serves on seat 4 of the East Lake Fire Commission, says she will be moving to Ohio on July 14, 2013 so she can live closer to family members.

3) Nine Arrested for Unlicensed Contracting

A multi-agency sting nabbed nine individuals operating with a contractor's license in Pinellas County.

4) Board Honors East Lake High's Engineering Academy

The Eagles got some recognition from the Pinellas County School Board after receiving a highly sought after grant.

5)  13 Residents Apply for East Lake Fire Commission Seat

Over the next few weeks, East Lake Fire Commissioners will be reviewing the qualifications of 13 residents who've applied to serve the remainder of commissioner Flo Galloway's term.

6)  Pinellas County Library Fund Reduced by East Lake's Departure Due to the decision for the East Lake library to become self-funded, the Pinellas County Library Fund will go down by 18 percent.

7) Poop In Pools? Probably

The CDC found E.coli in more than half of the public pool filters tested.
