Trinity College of Florida wins the National Championship
Trinity College of Florida made headlines with two consecutive Men's Basketball National Championships for 2016 and 2017. Now in 2018, the Tigers are Champions once again. This time it is the women's team. The Women's Basketball Team just won the WNIT National Championships, an amazing 95 to 55! Trinity's top scoring, career record 1000 point player, Markenesja Hardy was also the MVP of the WNIT National Championships. TCF's Women's Basketball program started only three short years ago. Since then, they have had one All American, 4 first team all region, 3 second-team all region, 1 honorable mention team region, and one Coach of the Year. The 12 victories last year were more than any Trinity Women's Basketball Team had ever accomplished before. Trinity plays the toughest NCCAA teams in the country. Most of the games are NAIA Division 1 and 2 teams. Last year the Women's Basketball Team was the first team in Trinity College history to beat a Division 1 NAIA team when they beat Warner University. Coach Thomas Clark says, "Our teams never lose. We either win or we learn, but we never lose." Trinity College of Florida is a Christian college in Trinity, FL. The Clark family is a college basketball family. His son Timothy is the Director of Women's basketball at Virginia Tech and his daughter Brittany is the head coach of Harcum College. We anticipate seeing many more National titles from the incredible Trinity Tigers Women's and Men's Basketball Teams.
