Trinity Lady Tigers Back In Action- New Expectations

A new semester is rolling in here at Trinity College of Florida, so that means the sports teams are beginning to stroll in as well. Every year the volleyball team is the first to get their hands dirty, and this year Trinity kept that tradition. On August 9th the Lady Tigers moved in, and went straight to work! Trinity’s Head Volleyball Coach, Mrs. Rachel Noble set the standard the minute she got all her players together, encouraging the team that she expects great things and nothing less this season. Now with only 4 returning players, and losing the 2017-2018 MVP Autumn Reed, Mrs. Noble has a lot on her plate. However, that is not stopping her from giving the team all she’s got!
At the very first meeting coach Noble mentioned that nothing is more important than God, and that playing volleyball comes third after God, and school work. Not to any surprise the team was all on board! She opened with the question, “what are your goals for this team?” One-by-one answers came out, things like sharing the Gospel, teammates encouraging one another, stepping up in leadership, good communication on-and-off the court, giving 100% effort, making it to the NCCAA nationals, and most of all giving glory to God.
There is something unique about this team, besides the fact that most of the players are new, this year they all have common goals. This cohesion will most definitely be the strength of the team! The season kicks off on August 28th with a home game at 6:30 pm against St. John’s River State College. The Vikings are a higher division than the Tigers but from what has been determined from this past meeting, it won’t matter. The Lady Tigers are ready to give it everything this season, and to give the glory to God through it all!
