Waterspout Makes Landfall, Damages Home in Oldsmar

The waterspout came ashore at 422 Shore Drive in Oldsmar and damaged the home's shingles, knocked down a mailbox, branches and a tree, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies.

A waterspout knocked some shingles off a home as it made landfall in Oldsmar early Monday evening.

Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies saw the waterspout as it came ashore at 422 Shore Drive in Oldsmar. The waterspout damaged the home's shingles, knocked down a mailbox, branches, and a tree. It also snapped a guidewire between the home and a neighboring home, according to the deputies.

The resident of the home at 422 Shore Drive left her home when she saw the waterspout make its way into the neighborhood.

No one was injured. The waterspout blew out a transformer.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office also provided photos of the waterspout.
