For those of you who watch wildlife in East Lake, you may have heard about the osprey nest at the entrance to Ridgemoor.
The male osprey that occupied the nest with a female osprey was killed. Osprey have left the nest for the time being and smaller birds have been coming and going.
However, Barb Walker, who is an East Lake resident and a member of the Audubon Society, says the female osprey had some male suitors.
She expects the nest to reactivate next year, so keep an eye out and let us know if you see any activity.
