Amber Alert Canceled For Florida Girl, 14
A Florida Amber Alert had been issued for a 14-year-old girl from Fort Myers, but was canceled minutes later.

FORT MYERS, FL — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has canceled an Amber Alert it issued for a missing 14-year-old Fort Myers girl. The cancellation of the alert came minutes after it was issued on Monday morning.
Authorities said the case had been resolved, but offered no further information.
Jessica Matias-Francisco had last been seen in the 400 block of Tyrone Avenue in Fort Myers. It is unclear how long she had been missing.

Authorities said Matias-Francisco may have been traveling in the company of Paulo Mateo Pedro Tomas, 18. The two were believed to have been riding in a 2005 silver Chevrolet, an email from FDLE said.
Amber Alerts are only issued in cases where there is a clear indication of an abduction, FDLE said. Authorities must also believe the child's life is in danger. Amber Alerts are not issued for runaways or family abductions unless the child is believed to be in danger.
