Lee County Sheriff’s Office hosts free senior safety education seminars

Participants will receive important tips on how to protect themselves and their property

Caption: Home improvement fraud and residential security are two of the upcoming topics for a series of free senior safety seminars being hosted by the Lee County Sheriff’s office at the UnitedHealthcare MedicareStore in Fort Myers.

Seniors in the Fort Myers area are invited to participate in a series of free senior safety education seminars being held July through September. Taking place at the UnitedHealthcare MedicareStore at Daniels Crossing Shopping Center, participants will receive important tips on how to protect themselves and their property from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, who will address a different safety topic at each event, including:

  • July 25 at 10:00 am: Identify Theft – How vulnerable are you?
  • August 1 at 10:00 am: Social Security Benefits Hacking – Are your benefits safe?
  • August 29 at 10:00 am: Home Improvement Fraud – What you need to know
  • September 5 at 10:00 am: Residential Security – Are you a target for a burglar?

Attendees will also learn more about the various Sheriff’s Office units and how they protect and serve community members. Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Light refreshments will be provided.

Seminars will take place at the UnitedHealthcare MedicareStore in the Daniels Crossing Shopping Center (by the UPS Store), 6900 Daniels Pkwy 23-C. To RSVP, please call 239-561-9142. There is no cost to attend.
