5 Things to Do in Gulfport: Art Walk, Artist's Alley, 'Naked Imagination'

1) Third Saturday Art Walk: The Art Walk kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday night on Beach Boulevard in downtown Gulfport. Learn more about the Art Walk in Suzie King's event listing on Gulfport Patch. King writes, "Meet and purchase the works of talented independent artisans, craftsmen, authors and entertainers, stretched over a half-mile up and down scenic Beach Boulevard. Live musicians including the The Fabulous Deltona's and the Double M Band appear at venues throughout the waterfront district." Also, the Artist's Alley will be open Saturday night! The metal working and sculpture studio of Owen Pach, located on "Artist's Alley" behind Beach Drive @ 29th Ave, adjacent to the Glass Blowing Studio, will be open for tours during Saturday's Art Walk 7-10 pm, Cam the Artist writes.

2) Despite it's title, "Naked Imagination" is a family-friendly theater show right here in Gulfport. Come out Saturday night at 8 p.m. at the "City of Imagination," 2726 54th Street South, Gulfport, Florida 33707. Tickets are $15 at the door. The show runs through July 28, on Thursdays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 4pm. 3) Meet the Artists: "Art Doll" Artist Joan Allen and Photographer Melissa Lowe at Domain Home Accessories & Gallery Saturday night. Special thanks to Daniel Hodge for posting the event in our calendar. Hodge writes," The artists will be present to discuss their work and answer questions, as well as present a large body of new work for display and sale during the evening.  “Meet the Artists” will take place at “& Gallery” (3129 Beach Blvd. South in Gulfport) on Saturday, July 20th, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be offered." 4) The Gulfport Community Players present "The 13th Annual Summer One Act Festival," at the Catherine Hickman Theater. The last two shows are Saturday, July 20 at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Gulfport Beach Bazaar, Gulfport Casino or Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce. 5) Get your Gecko Pub Crawl tickets! The tickets just went on sale this week! You can buy tickets for the August 10 event at the Gulfport Beach Bazaar, Domain Home Accessories, Couture'd, Cousin's Pizza, J's, Neptune's and Tea & Me. Tickets are $20 and include 1 drink at each location (Cousin's Pizza, J's, Neptune's, O'Maddy's, Salty's and Tea & Me), poker run and after party.
