Drowning Victim Identified In Gulfport
The woman's body was found Thursday along the beach at Shore Boulevard South, officials said. (Breaking)
GULFPORT, FL – The Gulfport Police Department today identified the individual who drowned Thursday as Gulfport resident Sofia Zarzev, 88.
Crews responded at approximately 10:05 a.m. to the 5500 block of Shore Blvd. South on calls of an unresponsive body at water's edge. Zarzev was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, officials said.
No foul play was suspected, and no information was released if any medical condition contributed to her drowning.
