Gulfport Armed Robbery Under Investigation
Police are searching for a man who robbed a Gulfport Kwik Stop Tuesday night.
Gulfport, FL — The Gulfport Police Department is looking for help identifying a man its officers say held up a convenience store Tuesday evening.
According to the agency, a man went into the Kwik Stop, 5337 Gulfport Blvd. S., around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday armed with a handgun. Those inside the store, patrons and employees alike, left after seeing the man and were not harmed, an email from the police department said.
With the store to himself, police say the man went to the cash register and tried to open it. The man struck out, however, police noted. He left without any cash or merchandise.

Police say the man is believed to stand between 5-foot-11 and 6 feet. He weighs about 200 pounds and has a medium build. The suspect was last seen wearing jeans, a long-sleeve white shirt and black gloves. His face was covered with only his eyes exposed.
It is believed the suspect may have left the store in a white minivan.
