Homeless Man Accused Of Armed Robbery At Gulfport Dollar General

A 33-year-old homeless​ man has been arrested after being accused of robbing a Dollar General store at gunpoint.

GULFPORT, FL — A 33-year-old homeless man has been arrested after being accused of robbing a Dollar General store at gunpoint.

According to Gulfport Police, at 7:32 p.m. Sunday, Timothy Sullivan walked into the Dollar General at 4900 17th Ave. S., brandished a handgun and demanded cash from the register from the store clerk. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on a bicycle.

Just before 5 a.m. Monday, police said Sullivan robbed a convenience store in St. Petersburg wearing the same clothes and using the same gun that was used in the Dollar General robbery.

Police were able to identify him from surveillance video and arrest him.
